Healthy Hearts
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in Australia and high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol or excess body weight all put you at an increased risk.
Food is directly involved in many of the risk factors for coronary heart disease and paying attention to what you eat is one of the most important preventative measures you can take.
Our Dietitian is running a Heart Health Clinic to help you make small and manageable improvements to your food choices to help reduce your risk of developing heart disease. If you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol the clinic is FREE to attend by getting a Chronic Disease Management Plan from your General Practitioner.
Seeing a Dietitian may seem daunting but don’t worry our Dietitians aren’t the food police! They will work with you to help you better understand the relationship between food and heart disease and to develop changes that suit your lifestyle.
