Brooke Leshin - General Practitioner

Dr. Brooke Leshin is a compassionate General Practitioner with a special interest in women's health, chronic disease management, skin cancer surgery, Mirena insertions, pediatrics, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. After graduating from James Cook University, Dr. Leshin has worked in rural communities across the Tablelands, Thursday Island, and Southwest Queensland, gaining invaluable experience in delivering culturally sensitive and patient-centered care.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Leshin has been actively involved in medical education, supporting the delivery of education to University of Queensland (UQ) medical students and participating in medical student selections with James Cook University. This experience has further fueled her passion for fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Dr. Leshin is dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes and promoting health equity, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. She takes a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on prevention, early diagnosis, and empowering her patients to manage their health.

Dr. Leshin also has expertise in musculoskeletal care, providing injections to help manage musculoskeletal conditions effectively.

Outside of work, Dr. Leshin enjoys spending time with her family and friends and DIY creative home projects. She is committed to partnering with you to achieve your health goals and support you on your path to optimal well-being.
