Dr Kerrie Noonan - Clinical Psychologist
Kerrie is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience. She began her career in psychology on a child and family community health team in Western Sydney and has since worked with young people, adults and older adults, in a variety of settings. Recently moved from the Blue Mountains, Kerrie sees adults, young people, couples and families. She has experience in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, mood and adjustment disorders and with people who are facing serious or life threatening illness. Her treatment approaches are holistic and systemic and include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), relaxation and exposure therapies, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness based therapies.
Kerrie is skilled in working with the adults and older people who are living complex health issues such as cancer, pain, diabetes, motor neurone disease, lung disease and people/families facing life threatening illnesses. This includes young people, adults and older adults who may be having difficulty adjusting to change, and benefit from grief and bereavement counselling and support to recover from trauma.
Kerrie completed her Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) at the University of Newcastle, as well as her Master of Psychology (Clinical) and her PhD at Western Sydney University. Kerrie has post graduate training in Systemic Therapy (Family Therapy) from Relationships Australia.
Kerrie is a registered provider with Medicare and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Kerrie is an Adjunct Fellow at The University of Western Sydney. She has previously taught at Charles Sturt University, and continues to work in research for Latrobe University.
