A big week, exciting news and collaboration

It has been another busy week at Macquarie Health Collective! Like so many other businesses in our region, day-to-day operations have continued as they have for the past couple of years. We have been navigating changing rules, working towards providing the best healthcare we can for our patients, and coordinating isolations for our providers. That being said, we have also been working on a number of exciting things this past week that we hope will mean we can provide our region with more practitioners, better access and even more improved healthcare for you all. But for now we will have to keep tight lipped, because we do not want to ruin the surprise. So please watch this space and as always, please support us in this exciting time ahead.

Here is a little update from our practice:

FLU VACCINES

Our flu vaccines have been delivered, which is fantastic news for our community. If you are interested in getting the vaccine please contact our reception staff. If you have decided to get your covid vaccine as well, please let our reception team know. This will allow them to coordinate a time with you that will ensure you get your flu and covid vaccine at the same time. Please refer to NSW Health website and social media sites for more information regarding the flu vaccine and covid vaccine.

COLLABORATION

This past week our Clinical Psychologist visited and conducted her consultations in person which was great for her patients. We are so proud to be able to provide psychology services via face to face and telehealth. While Rhiannon was here she had a meeting with Caroline from Mumma.Be and Rochelle from The Baby Loss Mentor. It was so inspiring to see these three providers meet to brainstorm how they can work collaboratively to provide care for the women of our region. Watch this space for what will hopefully be some great things between these amazing providers.

GP’S AND CARE PLANS

It has been great to see our elderly patients come through our practice. It has been a long time between lockdowns. Our practice strives to give our patients the care they need and care plans are one of those services. Regular care plan appointments allow our patients with chronic conditions to regularly see their doctor, ensuring their condition is being routinely monitored, and of course, giving them a chance to have a chat and catch up on what is happening in their lives!

NEW PROVIDER

In other exciting news we will be welcoming a new General Practitioner to our team at the end of April. Keep an eye out on our socials for the announcement. We cant wait to introduce you to her!

That’s about it from us this week. It has been a big week! We hope you are all enjoying this wonderful rainy weekend, wrapped up in a blanket, catching up on your current favourite TV series, reading your book or spending quality time with your family and friends.
