Reflecting on August

Well, what a big month it has been. We have been reflecting on everything that has happened this month, the good and the tricky. However, we would like to look at the good and think about all the wonderful people that have graced our instagram page over the past month. How lucky we are to know these people and how fortunate our community is that we have these people out there making such a positive impact no matter how big or small.

We have seen our community really rally over the past month, not just interacting with our instagram posts, but with each other, with our local businesses, and with our wider community. We are very proud and grateful to be part of this community.

There is still a lot that we can do for each other.

  • Keep buying local, not just food and produce, but retail. Our hairdressers and favourite clothes shops have had to close during this time. Please keep them in mind if you need to buy a father’s day or birthday present.

  • Keep in touch with vulnerable friends and family - call, text, or send something in the mail. Let them know you are thinking of them.

  • Keep our essential service workers in mind, they are doing a huge job looking after our community. If you know an essential worker, cook them dinner for a night and leave it on their doorstep.

  • Keep in mind your children, if you have them, at any age. It is a tough time and we often take for granted how resilient they are.

  • Keep an eye on yourself. Reflect on your current state. Make sure that you are getting the help you need.

Remember we are here for you, in any capacity you need, general practice, counselling and vaccinations.
