Heading into the week positive and with purpose

We are finding ourselves at the beginning of another week. We have been trying to channel some positive energy through our practice, hoping that it will filter through and it has. We have achieved some great results this week. From successfully rolling out our Pfizer vaccines for the third week, to seeing patient care transform through phone and telehealth and feeling proud of our providers that are getting out into the community and spreading the word of gratitude.

It feels like we are really finding our way in this Covid world.

Yesterday we saw an article written in the ABC outlining that our region is leading the nation in rates of Covid vaccinations. If that is not something to be proud, of we don’t know what is! We are proud of our region and its dedication to ensuring that we can all be safe. We still have a bit to go to make sure our indigenous community is vaccinated and looked after, but we are getting there.

However it is still important to continue getting tested even if you have the mildest of symptoms. It is this early detection that helps our health service and contact traces contain the potential spread before it gets further out into the community.

But enough Covid talk……..

We would like to challenge you this week taken from Lyndal's presentation at the ‘Be well’ workshop at the exchange last Thursday.

Pick 1 category from the list below and select a thing you are grateful for including items you deeply appreciate and something you can be truly thankful for, write it down, stick it on your bathroom mirror. Start your day grateful, even if it is for the simplest thing:

  • Something that brings you joy

  • Something that you like to wear

  • Something that makes you feel safe and comforted

  • Something that helps you accomplish a goal

  • Something that you couldn’t live without

  • Something that reminds you of a positive memory like a photo, ticket or program

  • Something that you created

  • Something that smells

  • Something that keeps you healthy

  • Something that makes you laugh

  • Something that feels good to eat

  • Something that makes you proud of yourself

  • Something that reminds you of a positive memory with your family

  • Something that has a texture that soothes you

  • Something that you don’t think about, but need every day

  • Something that you received from someone else

  • Something that reminds you of a positive memory with a friend

We hope you have a positive week and enjoy this sunshine.
