May and women's health

This May, we are diving into a campaign centered around women’s health. Women’s health is a topic very close to us. Being women ourselves, we understand the ups and downs of being a woman in all aspects of our health. As a woman, in motherhood, in ageing, and at the end of life, each stage has its own bag of tricks. Would we have it any other way? Probably not!

This coming month, we are going to focus on motherhood, the process to become a mother, the pregnancy, the labour and after. The losses, the struggles, the anxiety and the challenges that come with this stage in a woman’s life.

We are going to invite other amazing practitioners from our region to help us along this journey. We will be working collaboratively (yay!) to help you, if you are in this stage of life. We are so lucky in our region to have the practitioners we have, and we cannot wait to connect with them and show you what we come up with. As always, we will work with our own practitioners, our amazing team of doctors, psychologists and our dietitian, to help you make sense of this crazy time.

So watch this space!!

May also brings with her some very special days, International Midwives Day, International Nurses Day, Ovarian Cancer Day and Mother’s Day. So please join us in celebrating and honoring these days which are close to our hearts.

This will be us signing off for the next month, as for the next few weeks we will have featured guest blogs from some amazing women across our region. We hope you enjoy following along and that you gain some helpful tips, some reassurance and some empathy for yourselves - because you really are doing great!!

Until next time.. :)
